Amazing Tours

Snow Tour Quebec offers two types of guided snowmobile trips in Quebec: Saddlebag Trips and Home Based Trips. Each offers a unique way to experience the trails, scenery, and hospitality Quebec is known for.

Saddlebag Trips

Our saddlebag trips are what our original business plan was based on. What better way to see the beauty of Quebec in the winter than by traveling on a snowmobile.

These trips include 6½ days of riding. We check into our starting lodge or motel Saturday night and return mid-day the following Saturday.

People often ask how many miles we ride each day. That varies depending on terrain throughout Quebec. Our trips are based on a 9 hour riding day including a lunch break.

  • Eastern Quebec: about 150 miles per day

  • Western Quebec: about 250 miles per day

Years of experience on these trails have taught us this. The only way to truly get the most out of a trip is to have experienced the trails the way we have.

Daily Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM – Breakfast

  • Pack rooms and load sleds

  • 8:15–8:30 AM – Depart for the trails

  • 12:00–1:00 PM – Fuel and lunch break

  • Arrive at destination before dark

We try to have a sit-down lunch, but sometimes it may just be a quick sandwich at a gas station.

For emergency purposes we plan to be near a town with a snowmobile dealer every couple days. These can be difficult to reach and time consuming, so please carry enough oil for your trip.

A two-stroke sled typically uses about 1.5 quarts of oil per day.

The first day of a trip is usually shorter because of possible issues or adjustments. These rides should be looked at as a marathon, not a sprint. By the end of the week they will wear on you. Trips typically range from 1,000 to 1,500 miles per week. Your sled and equipment must be in good condition and well maintained before the trip. Newer sleds are required. If one machine breaks down, the entire group stops.

Saguenay – Mont Valin – Lac Sainte Jean

This trip gives you the best of all worlds. Spectacular scenery, regularly groomed fast trails, a ride through the snowiest area in Quebec, and even a ferry boat ride.

FAQ image

Cote Nord Trip

This trip follows the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. It offers fantastic views and several bridge crossings, including the highest snowmobile bridge in the world.

FAQ image

Chibougamau Loop

Chibougamau is the furthest point north on the Quebec federated trail system, so you must go there. This is a fast paced, high mileage ride, so be ready.

FAQ image

Abitibi – Western Quebec

Trails in western Quebec are wide and terrain is mostly flat with many water crossings. The scenery differs from eastern Quebec, but the trails are fast and perfectly groomed. This is another higher mileage ride.

Gaspe Peninsula

Gaspe offers some of the most spectacular scenic views in Quebec, along with the most unpredictable weather. It is common to see snowstorms, rain, and fog in the same week. That is the Gaspe.

Cote Nord White Trail Adventure

This is a challenging trip. The area along the north shore of the St. Lawrence where federated trail 3 ends is known as the White Trail.

Conditions must be just right for this trip. Much of the trail is on frozen water and large sections are ungroomed or only lightly groomed by snowmobile.

The window to make this trip is very tight. We work with Voyages CoSte travel agency to arrange accommodations.
